If you’re still having trouble figuring out what gift to give your beloved on this Valentine’s Day, T-Mobile has a new free tablet offer that could help you out. And what better to give than a gift that will help you to stay in touch with your beloved from work or home or from wherever you may be?
That’s where the free 7-inch Alcatel OneTouch Pop 7 tablet comes in. Powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the device is free with the purchase of a new 1GB or higher monthly postpaid data plan, which start at $10 and is billed monthly. The OneTouch Pop 7 normally retails for $168. Buyers only have to pay sales tax on the tablet to walk out of the store with a fun and useful Valentine’s gift.
The giveaway is the latest in T-Mobile’s occasional “Tablet on Us” promotions, which offer free devices to lure new users to the company’s offerings. The offer begins Feb. 12 and is available for Valentine’s Day through Feb. 16 at participating T-Mobile stores in the United States.
Hey, you only have three more shopping days until Valentine’s Day. I’m shopping for funky jewelry for my Valentine, but a tablet is a nice idea, too. Just do something, man, because Valentine’s Day is a big deal and a nice day to celebrate. I may be a techie, but I’m a romantic at heart.
The free Alcatel tablet from T-Mobile includes a lot to like. There’s a vibrant, 7-inch HD screen, 4G and WiFi capabilities, a dual-core 1.3GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, a 2MP built-in camera and 8GB of onboard storage. The device also includes Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and GPS navigation capabilities. There’s everything you need for you and your beloved to stay in touch over the miles that separate you.
Not a bad thing to promote for Valentine’s Day, wouldn’t you say?
This is certainly not the first time that T-Mobile has been giving away free stuff to bring people together. For Black Friday last November, the company offered free 7-inch Alcatel tablets to any customer willing to add a data plan for the devices. Then in December, T-Mobile unveiled its “data stash” program, which lets customers keep any unused data in their monthly data plans and roll it over for future use, giving customers more control and fuller potential use of the data allocations that they pay for each month.
