Somewhat like Useful Networks' SNIFF, this social networking application uses GPS data to display real-time event and location information about the user and friends. Users can invite friends to activities; when they confirm, the relevant activities will be automatically created and added to their activity plans. The application was created for your snooping pleasure by Alex Pisarev and Andrey Tapekha.

Google just wrapped its Android Developer Challenge, with judges awarding $25,000 for each of the 50 best applications created. No one can be sure whether these apps will catch fire and gain traction when Android handsets hit the market later in 2008, but here is a sample of what to expect.
