Google just wrapped its Android Developer Challenge, with judges awarding $25,000 for each of the 50 best applications created. No one can be sure whether these apps will catch fire and gain traction when Android handsets hit the market later in 2008, but here is a sample of what to expect.

6. Teradesk

Teradesk is a file virtualization platform for online file storage, remote access and user collaboration. Written by José Augusto Athayde Ferrarini, the application lets users access files from home computers and cell phones, while providing multiple encrypted transferences of any type and size and allowing users to pause, resume or recover broken transfers.
