Borland Previews C++ Development Tools
Borland's upcoming C++ technology supports software development for mobile devices such as smart phones, communicators and voice-enabled PDAs.Borland Software Corp. on Tuesday previewed upcoming C++ technology that supports software development for mobile devices such as smart phones, communicators and voice-enabled PDAs. The Scotts Valley, Calif., company previewed the technology at BorCon 2002, its annual user conference in Anaheim, Calif.
The Borland C++ solution will enable developers to rapidly produce C++ applications that run on the Symbian OS, an operating system for data-enabled mobile phones from London-based Symbian Ltd., the company said. In addition, the previewed technology will support the development of C++ applications for Nokia Corp.s Series 60 platform, which runs on the Symbian OS.
