Spectra Logics Spectra T950 is the first library the Excellence Awards judges had seen with integrated AES (Advanced Encryption Standard)-256 capabilities. In light of all the embarrassing data thefts that have occurred during the last two years, we expect more library vendors will follow Spectra Logics lead. With its key-deletion capabilities, the Spectra T950 can quickly expire tape media without the need for costly physical destruction of the media. The library also supports multiple tape formats in a single enclosure.
