Gordano Rebrands, Expands Offerings

Uniting its products under a single brand, Gordano paves the way for a move into other types of messaging software.

Low-cost e-mail server developer Gordano Ltd. will bring together its products under a single brand, paving the way for a move into other types of messaging software. Gordano is introducing the Gordano Messaging Suite, encompassing its NTMail and GLMail brands. NTMail was a Windows 2000 and XP-based product while GLMail was for AIX, Solaris and Linux. In addition, Gordano is expected to add new versions of its existing anti-spam, anti-virus and mailing list server applications to Gordano Messaging Suite and to add a new calendaring application to the suite as well. These products are expected in the fourth quarter.
"Were rebranding so that we can reference our products better," said Brian Dorricott, president of Gordano. "Customers were finding it hard to relate the product name to what it actually does."
Gordano is based in London, with U.S. headquarters in New York City. The company has about 20,000 customers for its products and 43 million seats. About 50 percent of its customer base is in North America and 40 percent in Europe. Related Stories:
