Executive Software's Sitekeeper 3.0 system management utility lets small shops obtain a bird's-eye view of a network and track software inventory.
Executive Softwares Sitekeeper 3.0 system management utility lets small shops obtain a birds-eye view of a network and track software inventory.
Sitekeeper 3.0, announced last month, can integrate with Active Directory to sort inventory information by the user, groups or devices in the organization.
Sitekeepers new set-it-and-forget-it scheduling lets administrators plan software deployment and system inventory tasks.
Companies can test the software for free with a 30-day trial download by registering at Executive Softwares Web site. The base price for Sitekeeper is $29.50, with volume licensing starting from $26 per system for 100 to 199 licenses.
I installed Sitekeeper on a machine running Windows XP and downloaded MSDE to run locally. I liked the revamped user interface, which makes Sitekeeper easy to use and allowed me to easily generate reports and deploy software packages.
