More About SpringOne 2GX
SpringSource and the No Fluff Just Stuff Symposium Series are co-producing the SpringOne 2GX Java event. "The four-day conference is an opportunity for application developers, solution architects, [and] Web operations and IT teams who develop, deploy and manage business applications to share insights on current development challenges and to showcase the latest advances in Spring and Groovy/Grails technologies," SpringSource said Sept. 28. "Our clients are continuing to explore the benefits of open source and we continue to be substantial users of open source, particularly in custom Java development," Tony Roby, open source lead at Accenture, said in the September release. "Organizations are demanding that critical business systems using open-source technology [be] delivered with the same rigor and success as solutions built on proprietary alternatives.""We share SpringSource's vision in making lives easier for developers and enabling simple access to services regardless of platform. At SpringOne 2GX Microsoft will demonstrate our joint open-source work with SpringSource for better interoperability," Jean Paoli, general manager of Interoperability Strategy at Microsoft, said in the same statement. "SpringSource is a well-regarded name within the developer community and we look forward to participating alongside the world-class developers that will be attending the New Orleans event." The SpringOne event will have several speakers both internal and external to SpringSource, including Johnson; "Javier Soltero, the founder of Hyperic and data center architect at SpringSource ... Graeme Rocher, senior staff engineer and head of Grails development at SpringSource ... and Guillaume Laforge, staff engineer and head of Groovy development at SpringSource." "In our continued quest to provide leadership in Java development, we felt it was important to also include in the conference sessions that investigate all of the challenges that face today's developers, from desktop to data center and into the cloud," Johnson said. "Our thought leadership, coupled with our experience in the run-time and management arena, makes SpringOne 2GX the ideal place for the technical community to obtain critical skills and knowledge to help them build, run and manage software solutions."
"We've seen tremendous customer demand for an integrated, enterprise solution combining the open-source Spring framework with the open-source Flex framework," said Dave Gruber, group product marketing manager at Adobe. "SpringSource and Adobe have worked together to deliver a robust, scalable offering enabling Java developers to build and deploy cross-platform rich Internet applications."
