Telerik to Preview Windows 8 Tool at Microsoft TechEd 2012
Developer tools maker Telerik said it will preview its first Windows 8 tool, RadControls for Metro, at the Microsoft TechEd 2012 conference.
Telerik, a provider of software application lifecycle and content management solutions, announced it will be previewing its Windows 8 tool, RadControls for Metro, at Microsofts TechEd, June 11 through 14 in Orlando, Fla.
Telerik said the forthcoming RadControls for Metro toolset will provide key functionality on top of the Windows 8 SDK. Telerik prides itself in being early in delivering developer tools for new Microsoft technologies such as Silverlight and Windows Phone and is repeating the process with Windows 8. Target customers include HTML and XAML developers who are building either enterprise or consumer apps for tablets or large screens.
Moreover, Telerik said it expects its upcoming toolset will appeal to enterprise developers in its ability to extend UX design controls quickly and cost effectively while applying established best practices. Consumer-app-focused developers seeking to build high-quality, must-have functionality for rapid time-to-market and monetization will welcome the toolsets key touch-centric UI, rich data browsing, and deep integration with other apps and data, while supporting user requirements for sharing on social networks.
Were delighted to be the first again to equip developers with a powerful toolset that will help them to be super-productive with Metro, said Chris Sells, vice president of Teleriks developer tools division. Teleriks RadControls for Metro provides an invaluable jumpstart and path for enterprise-focused developers to fully explore all the options that the Windows 8 platform can offer.
To gain early access to Teleriks RadControls for Metro preview version, interested developers can subscribe to the companys Windows 8 Dev Club. RadControls for Metro Beta will open in the summer.
