Today, the Apple iPad with both WiFi and 3G is being released and stocked on store shelves.

We’ll tell you what to expect and how much it will cost you; According to MSNBC, Microsoft has canceled its work on producing its double-screen tablet prototype, the Courier; IBM scientists have created a 3D map of the earth so small that 1,000 of them could fit on one grain of salt. The scientists accomplished this through a new, breakthrough technique that uses a tiny, silicon tip with a sharp apex - 100,000 times smaller than a sharpened pencil - to create patterns and structures as small as 15 nanometers at greatly reduced cost and complexity. We talk about what this means for future chip technology; Facebook has redesigned the Facebook Platform to offer a simple set of tools that sites around the web can use to personalize experiences and build out the graph of connections people are making.
