While this effort has stirred the hornet's nest inhabited by privacy advocates, Facebook is the premier private Internet company for a number of reasons. As such, Microsoft, which is struggling to remain viable in the Internet space, would do well to acquire Facebook before it gets too large and expensive to afford.
