What Is Timeline?

What Is Timeline?

Timeline is literally a montage of your life, expressed digitally in photos, videos and posts. Facebook said Timeline is a new type of profile that lets user share more about their life and discover new things through friends. Timeline includes the cover and several other tools. Read about them on this slide.
Facebook wowed developers and other industry watchers at F8 in San Francisco Sept. 22 with the unveiling of Timeline, a new take on Facebook's constantly evolving user interface. Timeline allows users tired of clicking older posts again and again to keep them as well as videos and photos easily accessible. There is also a private activity log, where users can surface and control anything and everything they shared since they joined Facebook. Also, the new social apps feature enables users to let others know what applications they are into for music, movies and other areas. This eWEEK slide show gives readers a tour of Timeline, which will launch to users in the coming weeks.
