Google March 9 confirmed rumors that it was expanding its third-party application efforts with the launch of the Google Apps Marketplace. This online store, which launches with 50 partners March 9, lets third-party developers create and sell software that augments Google Apps collaboration applications. SlideRocket, Box.net and Skytap are just a few of the many partners Google is touting for its apps Webstore.
