Zittrain, a proponent of cloud computing and open software systems, warmed up the crowd.
Google's Enterprise executives Nov. 14 convened with more than 350 CIOs from enterprises around the world at the company's annual Google Atmosphere event, which took place in the search engine provider's Mountain View, Calif., headquarters this year. The event, hosted this year by Harvard professor Jonathan Zittrain, professor of computer science for Harvard's School of Engineering, included speakers such as Vint Cerf, and, of course, Dave Girouard, Google's vice president of product management for Google's Enterprise unit. The focus of this year's event revolved around the confluence of mobile, social and Big Data, which are all contributing to the growing need for business intelligence and other software that can crunch, compile and make sense of massive amounts of information. For this slide show, eWEEK followed the Atmosphere conference remotely via Webcast to provide a few glimpses of the show.
