Cloud Computing: Google TV Honeycomb Upgrade Runs Smooth on Logitech Revue

Google TV's Android 3.1 Honeycomb upgrade finally began rolling out to users of the Logitech Revue Dec. 7, bringing one last upgrade to a companion box that the peripheral maker vowed to cease building. Recently, eWEEK finally received its bump to Honeycomb on the Revue and began testing it Dec. 12. As we noted when the Honeycomb upgrade was announced and began rolling out to Sony Internet TV users in October, the single most important feature of the upgrade is the inclusion of the Android Market. We received the upgrade notice Dec. 12, clicked to update and the Honeycomb build downloaded over the air to our Revue and TV in about 5 minutes without a hitch. The cute little Android robot, munching popcorn, is an icon tailored for the Google TV experience. It's the screen saver!
