Stratus to Sell EMCs Clariion CX200
Stratus will sell EMC's latest storage system with its ftServer family of servers.Stratus Technologies Inc., which already sold EMC Corp.s Clariion CX400 and CX600 storage systems with its ftServer family of servers, will now sell the storage companys latest product, the CX200. Software developed by Stratus, of Maynard, Mass., allows its fault-tolerant servers to interoperate with EMCs Clariion systems, according to Stratus spokesman Ken Donoghue. Donoghue said the Clariion lines high-availability features make it a good fit for Stratus Intel-based servers, for which the company boasts 99.999 percent reliability.
"The two of them together, with all of the fault resistance that EMC builds into its systems, and the fault tolerance of our servers, gives customers a high level of reliability," he said. "The demand from end users was to hook up a high-availability storage subsystem with high-availability servers."
