Veritas announces that it is porting its File System, Volume Manager and Cluster Server applications to SuSE Linux's operating system.

Veritas Software Corp. today announced it is porting core storage management applications to SuSE Linux AGs operating system. The deal applies to Veritas File System, Volume Manager and Cluster Server applications, and will include joint marketing, development, sales and support, officials in Mountain View, Calif., said.
Nuremberg, Germanys SuSE has beta customers for the software in markets such as finance, health care, government and high-end computing, they said.
