Apple is rather unique in the technology industry. Unlike so many other firms that release products and hope that consumers will buy them, Apple has a knack for delivering devices and software that in some way appeal to consumers more than any other product on the market. That is true with its iPhone, the iPod, its Macs and many other products that have proven to be extremely successful. That's partly due to Apple's ability to think outside the box. It understands what consumers really need and delivers experiences that make them realize what they were missing. In far too many cases, those products fall short when compared to Apple's. Read on to see some products that just can't match the alternatives Apple offers.
