Dell Taps New Partners for Digital Imaging
CEO Michael Dell told a CES keynote crowd that Kodak, Fuji Xerox and Samsung will team up with his company, apparently for new consumer efforts slated for year-end.LAS VEGASDell Computer Corp. announced three new technology partners Thursday morning, a tip-off that the company plans to branch out into other consumer directions. Dell named imaging giant Fuji Xerox, photography maven Kodak and electronics powerhouse Samsung as the new partners.
In a keynote address here at the Consumer Electronics Show, founder and CEO Michael Dell said that every time his company enters a new market, prices decrease because of the additional competition and customers benefit. The shift, which Dell called the "Dell Effect," accelerates the adoption of the technology in question, he said.
