At the CES expo in January, Lenovo will roll out its latest workstation laptop. The ThinkPad W700ds mobile workstation offers a unique configuration that supports two displays. In addition to the 17-inch display that Lenovo used with the original ThinkPad W700 workstation, Lenovo engineers were able to incorporate a second, 10.6-inch LCD display into the laptop, creating a dual-display setup for photographers, graphic artists and application developers. Lenovo is offering the option to order the workstation laptop with a lower-cost Intel Core 2 Quad processor running at 2.26GHz.

by Scott Ferguson - Here's a view of the Lenovo ThinkPad W700ds mobile workstation with the main 17-inch display and the secondary 10.6-inch display on the right side.
- The 10.6-inch secondary display is about the size of the screens used in "netbooks" and mini-notebooks. The secondary display works just like a traditional desktop dual-monitor display.
- The secondary display adds about 2 pounds and 10 millimeters of thickness to the ThinkPad W700ds.
- Here's a view of the ThinkPad W700ds with the secondary display closed.
- An early mock-up model of the ThinkPad W700ds shows how the secondary display is housed within a pocket door on the casing.
- The Lenovo W700ds offers an Intel Core 2 Quad processor running at 2.26GHz and the latest graphics from Nvidia.
