HP Customers Can Register for Free Windows Vista Upgrade
HP customers will be able to register for a Microsoft Windows Vista Upgrade, which will also allow them to receive support during the installation process.Hewlett-Packard announced that beginning Dec. 13 customers can register for a free Microsoft Windows Vista operating system upgrade, when it becomes available in early 2007. Once customers request a Vista upgrade, they will receive a kit that includes a Vista upgrade DVD and an additional DVD that will include the drivers needed to complete the installation. "HP began working with Microsoft in 2001, devoting thousands of hours of hardware and software testing and development to ensure consumers experience as an affordable, easy-to-follow upgrade path to the new Windows Vista operating system," Mark Sanchez, vice president of consumer computing at HP, said in a company release.
