There's nothing quite like getting your hands on the iPhone for the first time. The device is well-built, it provides a unique experience, and it has software that sets the standard in its market. Unfortunately, not all products are like that. Whether it's hardware, software, or a Web service, some products fail to capture the allure that they once did. Those products need a refresh. That's why we've decided to take a look at 10 products that need an overhaul. They're not yet at the stage of being removed from store shelves, but if they continue to be ignored for too long, they could reach a level of irrelevance that would relegate them to the junk heap. Of course, some of the following products are in worse straits than others. But one thing is shared among all of the 10 products in this eWEEK slide show; they need some attention.
