ARTS PDF this week is releasing what it calls the first true Adobe Acrobat alternative, Nitro PDF Desktop, a PDF creation and editing product designed and priced for business users.

Priced at $99, Nitro PDF Desktop gives users control over PDF documents, including commenting, form-filling and authoring, digital signatures, text editing, and one-click creation from Microsoft Office. The desktop is designed for use throughout an organization rather than just by senior-level executive users, said company officials.
