The facility, essentially a data center, will house equipment that IBM believes will address "uninterrupted systems availability in the e-business-on-demand era." Gregg H. Goble, vice president of resiliency services for IBM here, said previously that the nuts and bolts of disaster recovery were present in other data centers. But with the launch of this facility, strategy, organization, business and IT processes have been put in place to support disaster recovery and business continuity.
Currently, there are 23 such disaster recovery centers in Asia. The new data center already has ten customers, officials said.
