Many of the new features in IIS 7.5 are focused on easing management tasks for administrators, through both the IIS Manager console and command-line based options.

Web Server Role
As always, Windows Server 2008 R2 administrators can add IIS functionality by adding the Web Server role to their server. Despite the fact that this screen references IIS 7.0, the version supplied with Server 2008 R2 is IIS 7.5.
