It's no surprise that many of the most popular tablets on store shelves have big displays. Tablets are designed to help consumers enjoy entertainment, surf the Web and engage in other activities that require a larger screen. For tablet makers to be successful next year, they must still offer a big display.
The tablet space continues to grow. In fact, according to some analyst estimates, tablet makers likely shipped 63 million tablets in 2011. That figure could jump even higher in 2012 as major markets, including China and the United States, continue to lead its meteoric rise. However, what's interesting about the tablet space is that only a few companies have so far been successful.
