While China gets most of the attention, African economies are growing at some of the fastest rates in the world. Today, the continent is poised to transform the global economic landscape. Across Africa, mobile technology is becoming a cornerstone for industries like healthcare and agriculture. And for millions of people, it is making banking accessible for the first time. Africa's use of mobile, particularly mobile commerce has leapfrogged what is available in developed regions of the world. Given the lack of constraints imposed by working with an existing infrastructure, many experts expect similar significant gains with the adoption of cloud computing and social media.
