E.piphany to Add .Net Mapping Service
E.piphany will integrate Microsoft's MapPoint.Net geographic mapping system with its CRM software suite.E.piphany Inc. and Microsoft Corp. announced a partnership Monday to integrate Microsofts MapPoint.Net geographic mapping system with E.piphanys E.6 customer relationship management software suite. MapPoint, a .Net-based Web service, will allow users of the E.piphany Sales 6 application to map customer locations, obtain driving directions and plot travel itineraries from within the application. Customers would have to subscribe to the MapPoint service. E.6 is built on J2EE but can still support the .Net technology because of its component-based architecture, according to E.piphany officials in San Mateo, Calif.
"E.piphany is ahead of the curve in recognizing the value that MapPoint can deliver to the sales force, and in turn to their customers," said Michael Graff, MapPoint general manager at Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft, in a statement.
