A new industry coalition hopes to accelerate adoption of electronic prescribing. The group, called CafeRx, plans to promote common standards and programs to reward e-prescribing physicians—without favoring one vendors product over anothers. Founding members include Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, Capgemini, Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs, NDCHealth, RxHub, and SureScripts. Membership is open to other relevant organizations that agree to CafeRxs founding principles. To read the full story from Modern Physician, click here.
