Flawed Intel Chip Technology Leads to Processor Breakthrough




A flaw that had been identified in Intel’s Pentium processor more than a decade ago may show the way to greater power efficiency when it comes to building tomorrow’s processors, according to new research from Rice University. This discovery could change the way chip makers such as Intel and AMD create their CMOS test chips.
