After an 8.8 magnitude earthquake hammered Chile Feb. 27, Google tailored its Web services to help users access information related to the disaster. Google's Maps team is making Chile map data available to relief and aid organizations through the Google Map Maker tool. Also, the Person Finder tool is available to help people locate missing family and friends. Google's YouTube video site also offered video clips Chilean citizens uploaded regarding the crisis.
