Intel Ships 3GHz Pentium 4

Intel Corp. has begun shipping the latest Pentium 4 chip, which had been delayed last week after engineers found an anomaly in it. Intel spokesman George Alfs said Monday that the company has sent a software update to OEMs and motherboard makers to correct the problem found in the 3GHz Pentium 4 chip.Alfs declined to say exactly when the chip started shipping, only that it was "very recently."
