FIA Naked Mini blade server designed for resellers and integrators.

Tackling storage A new blade server from First Internet Appliance Inc., better known as FIA Storage Systems, is designed for use in network-attached storage devices.

Vertical markets targeted The FIA Naked Mini server, introduced this month, is being targeted for resellers and systems integrators in vertical markets such as government, education, financial services, telecommunications and entertainment, according to FIA officials in San Clemente, Calif.

Rack-mount design The 1.75-inch-high Naked Mini features dual processors, a rack-mount design, front-load access to three hot-swappable bays, a floppy drive and a CD-ROM drive. A SCSI controller is built in, along with dual 10/100 Ethernet jacks and server management software with SNMP.
