Services, Servers Boost Unisys Revenues
The company announced a 9 percent rise in Q3 revenues, although income dropped slightly from the same quarter last year.Unisys Corp., buoyed by an 11 percent jump in its services business and growth in server sales, on Wednesday reported that revenues increased 9 percent in the third quarter. However, income dipped slightly, to $56.2 million, over the same period last year, when it came in at $59 million. Revenue for the three weeks ended Sept. 30 was $1.45 billion, up from $1.33 billion in the third quarter 2002.
"In what is typically a seasonally weak quarter for the technology industry, we met our financial expectations by staying focused and continuing to execute our value-added strategy," Chairman and CEO Larry Weinbach said in a prepared statement.
