The HP ProLiant BL10e server blade system offers an easily serviceable, modular enclosure with better interconnect options than the RLX ServerBlade system. The ProLiant Rapid Deployment Pack requires extra server hardware but provides comprehensive server blade provisioning and management capabilities.

Cost Analysis

The BL10e is priced at $1,800 per blade with the enclosure costing an extra $5,500. Provisioning software requires extra cost in licensing and server hardware. Volume discounts are available with blades purchased in 10-packs. HP hasnt announced plans to merge or discontinue the bh server blade product line and the Compaq ProLiant blade line, but that might change.
