Rosenblum's wife, VMware president and CEO Diane Greene, gets most of the attention, but Rosenblum has been the one steering the development of the company's jewel—its hypervisor. He is one of the five co-founders of VMware.
Rosenblum is an associate professor of computer science at Stanford University, where he leads a group focused on operating systems research. Together with his students, he developed the Hive operating system, the SimOS machine simulator and the Disco virtual machine monitor.
