Recognizing there is high demand for employees with business intelligence and analytics expertise, colleges and universities are offering these courses and degrees, and using these solutions to cut their own costs, improve patient care, and benefit the environment. The need for employees with BI and analytics skills is expected to grow 20 percent through 2018. Fordham University, McMaster University, and DePaul University are among those partnering with IBM to teach underclassmen in these technologies, while the Telfer School plans to debut a two-day executive program this fall.
