While thats less than the 1.6 million new IT workers needed in 2000, recruiters still predict a shortfall of 425,000 skilled workers this year.

Click Analysis DoubleClick last week launched a new division called Diameter, which offers a suite of research tools to analyze consumers online behavior. Diameters services, developed from DoubleClicks acquisition of market research planning provider @Plan, are intended to let advertisers measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns on factors like brand awareness.

Brill Media Ventures, publisher of Brills Content magazine, last week said it will merge with Powerful Media, which runs media industry site Inside.com. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
