IT Management: New Dell Servers, Storage Units Take Aim at Data Center Efficiency
Dell is making a major push into cloud computing infrastructure and into what it is calling "intelligent data management" by introducing new server and storage hardware along with software, new services and a partner program. Dell is determined to be the go-to vendor when enterprises are modernizing their data centers by implementing private cloud application platforms and by deploying new virtualized storage systems. Dell also introduced the "intelligent data management solutions," which is a package of hardware and software aimed at reducing current data management costs by 50 percent.
