IT Management: New York, San Francisco, San Jose Pay Highest IT, Developers' Salaries
Technology workers in major U.S. cities are likely to receive the highest salaries for their work, according to CyberCoders, a worldwide recruiting firm. The company analyzed more than 3,000 technical job titles from around the nation to determine the highest-paying cities for technology jobs, finding San Jose, Calif., first overall, followed by San Francisco, New York and Washington, D.C. CyberCoders research indicated the average yearly salary for the same position in various cities differs. For example, a .NET developer in San Francisco makes on average $98,750.00 dollars a year, while in Los Angeles a .NET developer's salary is listed as $86,875 a year. "The Bay Area continues to dominate when it comes to tech, and companies in the area should expect to pay top dollar for this highly competitive talent pool," said Matt Miller, chief technology officer of CyberCoders.
