Compuwares Vantage 8.0 performance management tool gathers information from end users PCs, the network, servers, applications and databases to generate reports that show where possible problems such as slow response or overburdened networks are likely occurring.
Cost Analysis
The initial cost of the product and the professional services that are needed to ensure Vantage 8.0 is tuned correctly are in line with the costs of other enterprise-class performance monitoring and trouble-shooting tools. IT managers will need to devote several staff members on more than a part-time basis to maintain the product and to help others interpret some reports that Vantage 8.0 generates.
(+) Active agents use synthetic transactions to find possible faults before end users do; most VantageView reports do a good job of correlating problem information.
