The October 2010 release of Ubuntu Linux brings the usual slate of free and open-source software updates, alongside unique new capabilities around cloud services integration. The distribution's Ubuntu One personal cloud service adds interoperability with Android and iOS-based mobile devices, as well as new support for Windows. What's more, Ubuntu 10.10 (also known as the Maverick Meerkat) boasts an enhanced Software Center, including the ability to purchase applications through the tool. Check out the slides below for a look at the release, and be sure to read eWEEK Labs' full review. If you've tested Ubuntu 10.10 yourself, head over to labs.eweek.com to share your experiences.
