Motorola last week introduced The Q, a wireless phone with a full QWERTY keyboard. At 11.5 millimeters, the Q is half as thick as most of its competitors. Similar in design to Motorolas popular Razr V3 phone, the Q also includes Internet connectivity, a 1.3-megapixel camera and Bluetooth connectivity.
The Q runs on Microsofts Windows Mobile 5.0 platform, with support for Exchange 2003. It will compete against devices such as Palms Treo and RIMs BlackBerry. The Q is due early next year.
Separately, Motorola announced a partnership with Cisco Systems to develop a wireless phone for enterprise customers that will support both Wi-Fi and cellular communications. An extension of Ciscos CallManager platform, the phone is due early next year.
