AVG Internet Security 2012 includes the integrated security firewall and AVG LinkScanner utilizing signature-based antivirus protection.
Security
software maker AVG Technologies announced the availability of AVG Internet
Security 2012, the latest edition of its Internet security software. With new
protection technologies, computer performance enhancements and content download
acceleration, AVG 2012 is designed to be lighter, faster and smaller than any
previous AVG product.
Pricing
for AVG Internet Security 2012 is $54.99; Anti-Virus 2012, $39.99; and Premium
Security 2012, $69.99. The company is also offering a free version of its antivirus
software.
Included
in AVG Internet Security 2012 is an integrated security firewall and AVG
LinkScanner, which provides users with additional security when browsing,
shopping and banking. Internet Security 2012 also fully integrates with AVG's
ecosystem of security and Internet lifestyle products and applications, and it
is available for download via the company's Website.
In
addition to AVG's multilayered protection, utilizing signature-based antivirus,
heuristics and behavior-based threats detection, AVG 2012 comes with the new
AVG Accelerator and AVG Advisor features as well as additional protection
technologies. Accelerator optimizes file and video downloads on selected sites
to minimize waiting time. Responding to users' request for a fast and smooth
content download while online, Accelerator enhances the Web browsing and
content downloading experience. Advisor monitors the computer and advises the
user with available remedies and optimization possibilities for various
computer problems they may have.
