Networking and storage solutions specialist Buffalo Technology has launched the
TeraStation ES, its latest network-attached storage device aimed at SMBs. The RAID-based
appliance features Active Directory integration, real-time share replication,

for the 6TB version and $1,699.99 for the 8TB version.
The unit offers an oversized cooling system, a heavy-duty power supply and
128-bit AES encryption, representing
reliability and security upgrades the company has made. Additionally, the
TeraStation ES includes two Ethernet ports for port trunking and load balancing
and hot swappable drives for continued use of the device in the event of a
component failure. Setup and maintenance time have been reduced through the
appliance's intuitive Web-based GUI, the company said.
"In this information society, small businesses' digital asset management is
vital, and SMBs are in need of a solution that supports the quick storage,
backup and management of data in an efficient and cost-effective manner," said
Ralph Spagnola, vice president of sales at Buffalo Technology. "With an
attractive price tag and a fantastic array of features, we are confident that
the new TeraStation ES is the perfect data management solution for any small
business."
