Blue Coats New Software Offers Security to Mobile Workers
For companies that are struggling with ways to defend endpoints, most noticeably on laptops that travel outside the corporate network, Blue Coat has released a new endpoint management software that aims to provide companies with the security that they neeBlue Coat Systems, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company that focuses on delivering secure applications and contents within enterprise networks, announced Nov. 13 the launching of their new endpoint management software, Blue Coat SG Client, which distributes application and acceleration to endpoint devices that are used by any remote or mobile users. This new endpoint management software combines with Blue Coats network performance and security management appliances to allow mobile workers to use Blue Coats wide-area network application performance and security from any location, such as an employees home PC, Internet kiosks in airports or hotels or computers in partner organizations, across the distributed enterprise. "Organizations have been able to control application performance and security inside their own networks, but once users are outside, they have been beyond the reach of control," said Steve Mullaney, vice president of worldwide marketing for Blue Coat Systems, in a company statement.
"With Blue Coat SG Client, organizations will be able to seamlessly extend application security and performance to remote employees everywhere."
