Aperto Networks Inc., Airspan Networks Inc., and Alvarion Ltd. have announced plans to use Intel Corp.'s silicon in their 802.16a products.

Aperto Networks Inc., Airspan Networks Inc., and Alvarion Ltd. have announced plans to use Intel Corp.s silicon in their 802.16a products.

Intel in July announced its intent to develop WiMax-certified by the second half of 2004.

WiMax networks can transfer data at up to 30 miles at data transfer rates that approach 70M bps.
