Enterprise Mobility: Droid 2 Shines with Google Voice Actions, Chrome to Phone
Verizon Wireless followed up its popular Motorola Droid X launch from July with the Aug. 12 launch of the Motorola Droid 2, the widely anticipated successor to the Motorola Droid. The original Droid, despite being a heavy, brick-like device with a physical QWERTY keyboard, fairly flew off the shelves. Attribute Verizon's clever, futuristic Droid Does marketing campaign for that one. The Droid 2 is a solid device, boasting all of the heft of its predecessor, but with a much-improved Android 2.2 operating system and sleek, new Google mobile applications. Google Voice Actions for Android and Chrome to Phone bring the Droid 2 closer to Google's goal of the ultimate mobile cloud device.
