Adobe's latest Flash Player 10.1 Update, on track for delivery in the first half of 2010, has been designed to provide consistent browser-based runtimes for smartphones, netbooks, traditional PCs and Web-connected tablets running a variety of operating systems such as Google Android, Windows Mobile, WebOS, and desktop OSs. Adobe sees developers at the forefront of mobile OS development with Adobe and Flash porting many of their creations onto PCs and tablets, as all devices become increasingly Web-centric. Adobe predicts that Flash Player will be on over 150 million smartphones shipping in 2012. Here, Adrian Ludwig, group product marketing manager of the Flash Platform at Adobe, talks about the company's roadmap with regard to mobile devices, PCs and tablets.
