Fujitsu Ltd. plans to ship WiMAX silicon in the second calendar quarter of 2005.

Fujitsu Ltd. said it would develop WiMAX silicon in time for shipment in the second calendar quarter of 2005. The company made the disclosure as part of a press release about a new white paper the company published on the frequency spectrum requirements for implementation of the IEEE 802.16REVd (WiMAX) broadband wireless standard.
